Just get me a tie and call me Elder

To explain the title, that's kind of how I feel right now considering that we can wear pants now. Supes crazy, but I'm sure we'll get used to it. I would send pictures but cybers here are crazy and are ruining memory cards. So we´ll see if I can actually send pictures next week, sorry for the lack of them lately.

This week has been super great. Me and my new comp, Hna Jimenez are working really hard here in this small branch. It´s a big area, but I'm learning it pretty quickly. We get along really well, and things have been going pretty smoothly. We have a pretty similar sense of humor...so we´re always laughing, and that´s pretty nice :)

We´ve been finding lots of new investigators, but we´re having trouble getting them to church, just like in Sebaco. But I just love the people here so much. They´re so sweet, and I love being able to share the Book of Mormon and the restored gospel with them. Even if they don´t accept it, I love teaching people about it and seeing the people who are really interested change and learn about Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon and the Plan of Salvation are just so incredible and fascinating to me and it gives me hope every day for a better world, for a brighter day.
Something super nice is that the hermana who feeds us lunch and washes our clothes is our landlord, next door neighbor, and they´re all members! Less actives, but we´re working on that. It makes lots of things super convenient, haha.

Something I read in the Book of Mormon this week was in 3 Nephi 17. Just read the whole chapter. And analyze the compassion and goodness of Jesus to all the Nephites. It really inspired me to be a better missionary, to truly love and serve the people here with more love and charity. It´s such a beautiful chapter.

I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know that God is our Father and he loves each and every one of us, and I know that this is His work. I´m so grateful for all of you and the sacrifices you make every single day for your families and for the Lord. You will be blessed for it, I assure you.
Have an amazing week!

It´s been a long been a long been a long beenalong daaaaayyyyy

It´s been a pretty long few weeks, when it comes down to it. Sorry for being so bad with my mass emails...but I´m going to get back in the habit ;)

I´ve only got a little bit of time, so I´ll just say that I´m now in Leon! In a little town between the city of Leon and Managua, called Nagarote. It´s so cute, and the small town feel reminds me of Sébaco :) My companion´s name is Hermana Jimenez, and she´s from the Dominican Republic. She´s great, and I can tell we´ll work well together.
My spiritual thought is on the light of Christ. I read it earlier this week, and just wanted to share it with you all. In Moroni 7.

16 For behold, the Spirit of Christ is given to every man, that he may know good from evil; wherefore, I show unto you the way to judge; for every thing which inviteth to do good, and to persuade to believe in Christ, is sent forth by the power and gift of Christ; wherefore ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of God.
17 But whatsoever thing persuadeth men to do evil, and believe not in Christ, and deny him, and serve not God, then ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of the devil; for after this manner doth the devil work, for he persuadeth no man to do good, no, not one; neither do his angels; neither do they who subject themselves unto him.
19 Wherefore, I beseech of you, brethren, that ye should search diligently in the light of Christ that ye may know good from evil; and if ye will lay hold upon every good thing, and condemn it not, ye certainly will be a child of Christ.

We all have the light of Christ. Members and nonmembers alike, we can all feel in our hearts when something is of God or is of the devil, by how it makes us feel. But sometimes we accustom ourselves to those things that are of the devil, and we stop feeling bad when we do or see something wrong. But by the fruits, we can all know the truth, and we just need to have the strength to stand out, to change some things, and get on the path to righteousness. I know the path to eternal life is hard, but we can all achieve it if we look for this little light of Christ in everything. I love you all; have a great week!

Comment From Mom

Just a brief note from me to say that Sarah's previous companion, Hermana Barron, was preparing to finish her mission and had some family issues come up that required her to leave a couple of weeks early. Sarah spent those weeks in the office with the Office Sisters in a trio. As their p-days were on Saturday, she didn't write until then, but then was transferred out the following week and didn't write except to say she'd write the next week. So these few weeks were a little messed up in the email department. Back to normal now. :)
